THE THREE GREAT STEPS OF THE
MUSICAL PROCESS OF GAINING KNOWLEDGE

The Process of Knowing

Being involved in the finding of truth, the musical process of knowing itself establishes the link between the subject and the object of cognition.

Coordination of the Cognizer with the Musical Object of Knowing

This process of knowing is based primarily on the refinement of the cognitive process itself – particularly on the refinement of the tools of cognition: our intellect, our feeling and understanding, our mind, our sense of hearing, our neurophysiology, and our outer organ of hearing, the ear.

Structural Refinement of the Process of Knowing

Certainly, the listener relies also on the potential structural refinement of the acoustical event during the concert.
In particular, however, his cognitive process is based on the guidance of the music creator, a guidance that happens most discreetly, without giving the listener the feeling of tight reins – on the contrary, indeed, this guidance takes him to the personal experience of greater individual freedom.
