“Chinese Music and
the Notion of Time and Space”

“In a chapter called “On Rules of Rhythm” in his book Lei Ching Fu Yi (Collection of Findings in Medical Research), Ching-yueh Chang, a medical practitioner in Ming Dynasty, viewed music as a component of time and space, which is expressed by the relation between music and the body. His theory coincides with Peter Huebner‘s concept of music.1.
The physical clock in the human body operates in accordance with the movement of stars in twelve time segments (one segment = two hours) in Chinese astrology. In Chinese medicine, the circulation in twelve blood vessels (ching mai) is relative to the cycle of heaven and earth.

Listening to a selection of Peter Huebner‘s music preparations in the time segment for twelve blood vessels will help maintain good function of the blood vessel system to a great extent and enhance significant effects.2. Natural harmony rules have much to do with time and space. Peter Huebner‘s music is not only a composition based on universal principles but also a kind of mathematical music with a natural 3-D structure of time and space. Thus his music is able to bring enormous power from the resonance produced by the macrocosm and the microcosm (human body) via this 3-D structure. This plays a vital role in medical therapy and education.”
